It’s that time again! Another Stockpile medical class is here! Saturday, August 12th 10:30am-12:30pm!
*This class will be hands on, and will get messy! Make sure to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting stained red.
Stockpile DefenseĀ will be hosting a new medical training event called Stop the Bleed. The course is taught by a nationallyĀ certified Stop the Bleed instructor, Brad Richards, who has worked in the wildland fire community and is a current NREMT.
The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma is leading the effort to save lives by teaching the civilian population to provide vital initial response to stop uncontrolled bleeding in emergency situations. Stop the BleedĀ® Training is an interactive training program, providing the foundation for implementing lifesaving initiatives. The STB training program will prepare you to respond and mitigate life-threatening injuries in a hostile related environment. STB training will teach you to be more prepared and proficient in severe bleeding control and life-saving techniques. The course is founded on the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and its curriculum is consistent with the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) guidelines and meets the recommendations of the Hartford Consensus document on improving survival from active shooter events. The Hartford Consensus, in collaboration with the American College of Surgeons (ACS), emphasizes that no one should die from uncontrolled bleeding.
Upon completion of course and demonstration of competency, successful students will receive an official Certification of Completion recognized by Stop the BleedĀ®
