This class is 3 of Sentinel Concepts shotgun courses in one package. Shotgun Dynamics is put on by Steve “Yeti” Fisher. This course will cover Practical Shotgun, Critical Shotgun, as well as a low light course of fire. Not many shotgun courses are offered in the area, especially from such well known instructors, so this is a perfect opportunity to get some shotgun training. Practical Shotgun
An entry-level course where students are familiarized with their shotguns. This class is geared toward those with training outside the basic classes from novice to the intermediate shooter, looking to tune up some skills. Even at this early level, we expect students to have an understanding of various methods of reloading, weapon manipulation and most importantly muzzle awareness and safety.

Sight picture using iron sights and electronic optics

Critical Shotgun
This course picks up where practical shotgun ended. We will explore the use of slugs, proper zeros of irons and red dots sights, extended range use of buckshot, as well as shooting on the move, and alternate firing positions/target transitions.

Low Light Shotgun
This course is designed to introduce/enhance students to low light techniques with the shotgun for both weapon mounted and handheld emergency use techniques. Students will be able to focus on these critical low light skills, and will receive ample amounts of practical application in a low light environment.
This portion of the course does require a headlamp, flashlight, and 2 chemlights.

- 500 Birdshot
- 100 Buckshot
- 50 Slugs
Equipment Needed
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
A functional and practical shotgun chambered in 12 or 20 gauge
Hearing protection, electronic is preferred
Wrap around style eye protection
If available, a spare weapon system is also an excellent idea
A sling
Properly fitted shooting gloves
A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with the weapon system(s)
Handheld flashlight and or weapons mounted light
A black sharpie marker
Individual first aid kit and tourniquet
For Low Light Shotgun you must have a headlamp, flashlight, and 2 chem lights.

Day 1 September 19th: This course will start at the classroom at Stockpile Defense at 9AM, then you will head to Double Tapp for shooting. Day 2: September 20th, you will meet at Double Tapp from 9AM-3PM. We will break until 6PM, Then meet back at Double Tapp for Low Light Shotgun.
