PWS Expands the BDE Suppressor Lineup
NEW for SHOT Show! PWS announces 3 new suppressors in the BDE line.
We’ve been keeping this one ‘quiet’ (pun intended) for a while, but we’re excited to announce that PWS has officially released 3 new suppressors in their BDE line. The new offerings are .22LR, 5.56×45 and 9mm specific. These join the BDE 762 suppressor that was released in August of last year. IF you’re in the market, check out the SHOT Show discounted price of the BDE 762 on our website.
The BDE 5.56 and BDE 9 both have similar esthetics as the BDE 762, while the BDE 22 has a sleek exterior. Modularity and weight savings seem to be the main focus of the BDE line. Additional features are taper threading to prevent carbon locking and mount compatibility. We’ll be stopping by the PWS booth this week to talk with Blake Young, who designed the suppressor line. Blake came from GemTech, which used to be based in Boise. Purchased by Smith & Wesson in 2017, GemTech is no longer a local Idaho company, but luckily PWS scooped up Blake to design their suppressor line.
PWS seems to be new to the suppressor industry, but they’ve been in the business for nearly a decade. Being an OEM supplier to GemTech among others, they’re no stranger to manufacturing suppressors. When they decided to include suppressors under their own PWS brand, they invested in a state-of-the-art 3D printer that can print either titanium or stainless steel. The printer rounds out their massive machine shop which houses over 15 CNC machines.
Shown below is the full line of PWS BDE Suppressors. Left to right is the BDE 762, BDE 556, BDE 9, BDE 22. For an inside look at the BDE Suppressors and how they’re manufactured, check out the PWS YouTube channel.
